“Have you heard the mystery of the candy cane?”

This simple question can help start faith conversations with friends, neighbours and colleagues.

Thanks to a partnership with Yorkshire Baptist Association, Arise is offering your church community a simple and easy way to start a faith conversation this Christmas.

Ask your church leader how your church is joining in.

Did you know…?

More than half of your friends would be willing to come with you to your church’s Christmas service, if you invited them, according to a study by Lifeway Research.

Get started by offering a Christ-centred gift, such as a candy cane (see below) or Gospel Advent Calendar, and see where the Holy Spirit leads you in your conversation.

Resources

Did your church miss out? Don’t worry: you can still join in! Poundland are offering 30 mini candy canes for just £1, or you can order some on Amazon with convenient delivery. Online Christian bookshop Eden offers mini-books about the Legend of the Candy Cane for you to give out with the sweets, or alternatively you’re welcome to print your own version of the Arise conversation cards - just email hello@arisesheffield.org and we’ll send you the file.

Candy Canes

Churches across Sheffield have received a free tub of candy canes, plus business-card-sized prompts to help their communities share the news of Jesus with their friends and neighbours this Christmas.
